Privacy Statement

My law practice is committed to safeguarding your privacy. While the information I collect about you or your organization is critical to providing superior products and service, be assured that I am dedicated to maintaining the confidentiality of the personal information I have.  I am proud to tell you that, unlike some other organizations, I do not sell or rent to anyone the information you have entrusted to me.To help you understand how I protect your personal information, this notice describes my current privacy policy and practices. During the continuation of your relationship with me, I will advise you of my privacy policy and practices at least once annually, as required by law.

Confidentiality and security

I have and maintain strict policies and procedures to protect the confidentiality of your information during all stages of your relationship with me.  In addition, I maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and anticipated threats or hazards. Access to your information by other representatives is restricted to those individuals having a business need for such information.

Information I may collect and use

I collect personal information about you in order to prepare or review your financial or estate plan.  The type of information I collect depends on the services you are interested in.  For example, I may collect identifying information such as your name, address, and telephone number, and I may collect other personal information such as your financial, employment, and health history.

I may gather information from you in the planning process electronically, by telephone, in writing, or in person.  I may also acquire information from other sources, such as your advisors and other financial institutions, with your prior written approval.  While most information is collected at the time your initial plan is prepared, additional information may be required if you request review of your plan or other additional services.

Information I may disclose

I regard all your personal information as confidential. However, in the course of conducting my business there are circumstances in which I may disclose to other parties information I have about you. These disclosures are only made as permitted by law or at your request, such as disclosures to my administrators, consultants, and regulatory or governmental authorities.

Periodically I may work with outside firms to help me develop my products, services, and marketing approaches.  As permitted by law, I may share with such firms certain identifying information as described above.

Whenever I hire other parties to help us conduct my business, I expect them to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information and abide by all applicable privacy laws.  Further, I do not authorize them to use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than the work they are performing on my behalf or as required by law.

I do not sell or rent, and other than as previously noted, I do not disclose any of your personal information.

Should your relationship with me end, I will continue to limit disclosures of your personal information in accordance with my stated privacy policy and practices just as I do for those with a continuing relationship with me.
